Eldon Square West
The first phase of the development, Eldon Square West, has provided an additional 22,000sq ft (2,000sq m) of new retail on Blackettbridge mall for retailers including Carphone Warehouse, Quiz, Esquires Coffee, Holland & Barratt, Officers Club, and Trespass.
Two new restaurants, Strada and Wagamama, have also opened overlooking Old Eldon Square and brought new vitality to the area.
To compliment the restaurants, the City of Newcastle commenced and has recently completed work to upgrade the landscaping and lighting and also the restoration of the war memorial in this area.
