By Bus
Bus routes from around the region run into the city centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne and Eldon Square Shopping Centre has its own brand new bus terminal – opening March 2007 – and is well served by bus stations at Haymarket (Marks & Spencer), Blackett Street and Newgate Street.

By Metro
One of the best ways to travel into Newcastle City Centre is on the Tyne and Wear Metro service which runs to Eldon Square from Newcastle Airport, Newcastle Central Station, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. Metro is convenient, fast, frequent and easy-to-use.
Eldon Square is accessible via the Monument station which has it’s own dedicated station entrance into Eldon Square Shopping Centre. To view maps, platform information and timetables, click here. For all other information, including tickets visit: Nexus.

By Car
Eldon Square Shopping Centre is in the city centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne and benefits from excellent road links and thousands of adjacent car parking spaces.
To travel by road from the North and Scotland follow A1 south until the roundabout junction signposted A696 Airport and A167(M) Ponteland Road. Take the first exit, A167(M) Ponteland Road toward Newcastle. Follow signs for City Centre, Eldon Square and car parking. From Airport follow A696 to A167(M) Ponteland Road.
From South follow the A1 northbound until the sliproad junction with the A184 signposted Newcastle. Follow A184, remaining in the right hand lane for the sliproad junction onto the A6082 Redheugh Bridge. After the bridge, continue on the A6082 St. James’ Boulevard following signs for City Centre, Eldon Square and car parking.
From West follow A69 from Carlisle and Hexham to the roundabout junction with the A1. Take A1 northbound for approximately two miles until the roundabout junction with A696 Airport and A167(M) Ponteland Road. Follow A167(M) Ponteland Road toward Newcastle. Follow signs for City Centre, Eldon Square and car parking.
From East, North Tyneside and International Ferry Terminal. Follow A19 to link up with A1058 Coast Road and travel west toward Newcastle City Centre. At A1058 Jesmond Road, stay in right-hand lane and follow A167(M) North passing one junction. Follow signs for City Centre, Eldon Square and car parking.

Car Parking
There are several thousand car parking spaces in Newcastle Upon Tyne, with all off-street and on-street areas well sign-posted from major city centre roads. Eldon Square Shopping Centre has two adjacent car parks, Eldon Garden and the NCP Circular Car Park (next to John Lewis), with a wide variety of smaller car parks within easy walking distance of Eldon Square.

By Train
Newcastle Central Station is around 10 minutes walk from Eldon Square Shopping Centre and is one stop away on the Tyne and Wear Metro system (see above). It is well-served from most areas of the country by train making this an excellent transport link to visit Eldon Square Shopping Centre and Newcastle Upon Tyne.

By Air
Newcastle International Airport is approximately 10 miles from Eldon Square Shopping Centre and is easily accessible by road or public transport (see above). The airport is served from many British, European and Global destinations by airlines such as British Airways, Emirates, EasyJet, Jet2, Flybe, Ryanair, KLM, Aer Lingus, Air France and many more.
